In this first book in the Star Story series, two sisters, Emma and Laura from Brisbane, Australia are invited on a science adventure by two moon elves, Nebula and Stella.
On the Moon, Emma and Laura learn how the man-in-the Moon got his right eye, how the Moon stabilises the rotation axis of the Earth, blood moons, blue moons, why the same side of the moon always faces the Earth, how the Moon makes the ocean tides on the Earth, and many, many more fascinating facts about the Moon.
This Home Lab book accompanies Star Story 1. Moon, and describes a series of activities related to the content of the first Star Story book about the Moon.
The activities approximately follow the sequence in which the topics are presented in the book, Star Story 1. Moon. The first Star Story book on the Moon should be read before working through the activities in this Home Lab book.
The experiments have been especially designed for home schoolers since they can all be performed at home, in the backyard, or local park. The demonstrations are also suitable for a school classroom.
